Friday, 26 June 2009

The offer acknowledges Professor Hall’s world-leading expertise in the field of addictions, particularly on the public policy and ethical implications of neuroscience research on addiction.

His role at the Institution, one of the world’s leading psychiatric research institutes, will see him collaborating on research with Professor John Strang and colleagues at the National Addiction Centre within the Division of Psychological Medicine and Psychiatry.

Professor Hall said the opportunity to develop collaborations with researchers in one of world’s leading addiction research centres was exciting.

“This visiting professorship will allow me to develop collaborations with researchers in one of the leading groups working on the genetics and neurobiology of addiction,” said Professor Hall.

Professor Hall will begin his visits to London from November 2009.
