Jed Blore completed his PhD in Psychology at Deakin University in early 2008. His thesis examined the experience of subjective quality of life. Specifically, Dr Blore’s thesis challenged the orthodox view in the quality of life field by demonstrating, using different methodologies across multiple samples, that subjective judgments of life satisfaction are determined by an individual’s affective style, rather than cognition or personality. As part of the Cluster C core team for the Global Burden of Disease Study, Dr Blore is involved in the Injury Expert Group analysis sub-team, in addition to the Collective Violence Expert Group.
