Biography:

Emily Fearnley has research interests in environmental health, water quality and environmental epidemiology. She has completed an undergraduate degree in Environmental Health and an Honours degree on biological wastewater treatment methodologies. Her PhD research was specifically focused on the assessment of environmental events and their impact on human health during recreational water activities, including molecular microbial method development. In order to enhance her public health and epidemiology skills she completed her field epidemiology training with a Masters of Applied Epidemiology including placements in the Centre for Disease Control, Department of Health and Community Services, in Darwin and the Communicable Disease Control Branch, SA Health, in Adelaide.
