Mission Statement
The mission of the School of Population Health is to contribute to improving population health through excellence in scholarship and research and the development of strategic partnerships with local, national, and international communities.

Our goal is to achieve national and international recognition as a leading institution for population health education and research in the Asia Pacific Region. More specifically, the School seeks to:


  • achieve excellence in teaching and scholarship, across a range of substantive areas fundamental to improving population health in Queensland, Australia and neighbouring countries
  • provide comprehensive research training and research excellence in core areas of population health, reflecting the strengths and diversity of the School’s staff, and
  • strengthen its position as a leading institution for teaching and research training in population health for international scholars and students.
