The Master of International Public Health (MIPH) provides the highest standard of qualifications for those planning to work in health departments, non-government organisations and with international and bi-lateral aid agencies. Comprehensive course content is tailored to the specific needs and origins of students, who come from a wide range of populations and countries.

MIPH coursework covers:

  • Demographic transition (high to low fertility and mortality)
  • Epidemiological transition (from infectious disease and undernutrition to non-communicable disease and injury)
  • Nutrition transition (from energy/vitamin/mineral deficiencies to overnutrition, obesity and chronic disease)
  • Cultural, social and economic transitions associated with these developments

This degree is available via a 24-unit coursework/research plan or, for eligible students who have appropriate four-year undergraduate degrees, a 16-unit coursework only plan.
